Dear Timothy,
My narne is Stav and l'm an Art Curator at ArtLink.
Thu, Aug 16,2018 at B:30 AM
I saw you application for our Galleries project and I thought your work could fit in a new exhibition we are currently curating.
As you know, Artlink recently launched a new program onboard Holland America Line ships called ArtLink Galleries, which offers works of art for sale to the ships' guests on a consignment basis. The Galleries are now in their initial launch phase and feature a selection of works by emerging artists from all over the world, but our goal is to curate collections directly related to each ship's destination and allow guests another way to experience and support local culture.
To that end, we are looking to create a trial run of such an exhibition focusing on art and artists from the Caribbean, and we'd like to invite you to be one of the first artists to participate in this venture.
We are looking for Caribbean-themed pieces: - For Original 2D artworks, rue are looking for up to 7AxLAA cm in size.
Would you be interested in this opportunity? lf so, please send me details of all the work you currently have available, including an image of the work, technique, size, and artist price.
I am of course available for any questions you have.
Laoking ferward to hearing from you,
Best,

Photography holds power. The act of taking a photo acts as a historical marker and a capture of time. Just as archaeologists offer hypotheses about ancient societies based on cave paintings, historians of the future will base their conjectures about us on the photography that is happening at this very moment. including yours.
As technology makes our world more interconnected, the act of creation has become a universal language and a vital conversation. Your photography, represented at the Fifth Annual Exposure Award reception is a thrilling contribution to that dialogue.
It's been an honor to have your work included. Thank you for sharing your photography with us and with the world.

“I look back on my life like a good day’s work. It was done and I am satisfied with it.” ‘GRANDMA MOSES’ 1860-1961 Anna Mary Robertson Moses, better known as ‘Grandma Moses’, is an American folk artist. An extract is from ‘Grandma Moses: My Life’s History’ (1951) As a young boy, I would draw landscapes on the sidewalks with colored chalks, day in day out - mountains, rivers, streams and beautiful, brilliant-coloured houses in their natural surroundings. Like Grandma Moses I would start with the sky and its different shades of blue and grey and white. Then I would come to the mountains with the shades and shadows from trees and foliage; then the landscape, with paths and walkways. Like Grandma Moses, I would place everything in its proper place and spread out the objects evenly across the sidewalk. I grew up in farmland areas like Grandma Moses. There would be ploughs, carts and tracks throughout the landscape, leaving evenly ploughed rows for planting. Though my work looked childlike it seemed to be just fine to me. Like Grandma Moses everything had its right place and time in the painting. I graduated to acrylics on canvas only after folks were admiring what I had done in my sketches and drawings. Like Grandma Moses, I didn’t start selling my art till later in my life. I am a primitive, naïve type artist and that works great for me. In closing: ‘A primitive artist is an amateur whose works sells.’ TIMOTHY F. PHILLIPS

ReplyTimothy F Phillips stands as a self-taught artist. He paints with loving brush strokes of beauty. Plants and trees are his favorites to paint. Timothy paints in beautiful detail. He is a totally self-taught artist. He was painting before he could read or write,, with great ambition, he would cover the lines with colorful paintings of his surroundings in the mountains of Pennsylvania and other states that he traveled through or lived in. He has had many one-man shows in museums and galleries around the world & the United States, his art is in many private collections of estates and corporations as well. Many commissioned artworks have been done by this artist. He is presently living in Miami Florida for the last 20 years, And that is where he works in his studio on Miami Beach. If you look closely at his paintings there is always something to be discovered., a bird a snake or a frog, you never know so you have to look close, Being the primitive artist that he is. He truly does stand alone with his style.

(Building A City And Building Your Life To Completion)

(The Art Of Life  Acrylics With A Splash Of Reality)

The artwork I am presenting is art depicting the American Dream,  whether   it be a city skyline showing  the floors

From the bottom floor, a starter floor to the top floor is the pinnacle of success.

Or a painting of a farm and all its land surrounding the home one built, and builds on

To create their American Dream.

Or a  painting of a hotel that runs like clockwork, a place for people to relax

And enjoy the fruits of their labors.

Or a  painting of a cottage in the woods, being a place of solitude and relaxation.

A get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, or town, in which one lives.

All these paintings depict growth, a home, a getaway, a city skyline, in which we all

Live and work in,

The artworks are brilliant and lively, colorful and joyful.

They all show what is possible for one to achieve,  or inspire one to achieve.

My art is built on layers of brush strokes like the layers of days , months, and years

Of our lives we build on them, carefully to create a whole life, a complete life,

Like I create my art, working on it till completion and contentment fills the

Empty canvas with colors shades and hues, we pursue and enjoy the beauty of life.

The colors being our view of our surroundings,

The shades were family, friends, and loved ones, all being different in some

Way shape or form, with diversity, being the artwork of our lives,

The Hue's being the ups and downs of life, the struggles become layers

Of task completed, As the art grows and thrives to completion.

All the paintings can be viewed like your walking through them, as you walk

Through life, seeing what is above and below to the left to the right of you,

Like viewing your dreams, your goals, your aspirations.

My artwork is alive, and thriving,  just like all of us, alive and thriving,

Reaching our goals, our dreams, starting from scratch and becoming complete.

My art is in fine details, just like life, details make up the threads of our lives,

Details show the complexity of life, right down to the reflections from the boats.

Right down to the windows on the high rise, right down to the grass in the

Yard of the cottage.

Life grows around you, within you, grows from your vision, your plans,

Your dreams, your hopes,

Finishing a painting I have achieved my goal, living the dream one achieves

Their goals, that home in the sky, that cottage getaway in the woods,

That boat floating on the riverbank, all these things can be achieved

With determination and strength, and perseverance.
